Hello! My name is Chandler and this summer my dad and I will be backpacking all over Europe before I go off to college! This blog will serve as an online journal so our friends and family back home can stay updated on our travels and adventures. Thanks for stopping by, and welcome aboard!
I am back and enjoying the blog which I haven't seen in 10 days. So pretty, just like you see in the travel pixs of Venice, the gondola guy with the striped shirt steering it. How relaxing was this, wow. Have you been to Venice before?? If not, more beauty you have experienced. Glad your skies are blue.
No, it was our first time there and it was SO beautiful! Its amazing to have been in a city where transportation relies entirely on walking and boats. It takes more planning to do basic errands for sure, but it was so fun to visit!
Ah, Venice is so beautiful! Did you guys ever get lost in those streets? Matt an I did once! And I wonder how often people have laundry fall of their clotheslines into the canal... Although it looks like they are clipped pretty securely!
Well, my dad's pretty good with navigation, so together we didn't get too turned around. One day we were split up though and I think I walked all over the place just looking for the main piazza area. It was great though because I was able to explore more of the residential areas and places off the beaten track a bit. It was a great time! And the southern Italian heat made the gelato taste all the more better at the end of the day!
What a beautiful sunrise or sunset.
